The
living wreath is pretty
easy
to make. I used 3 ivy
potted
plants from Home Depot.
Did you notice the flowers I added to the finished design? You can add simple Mums or other small cut flowers. |

| (2) Long Fibered Spagnum Moss (3)
3 Potted Ivy Plants
(4) Wire
Instructions: (1)
Soak Spagnaum Moss in plenty of room temperature water.
(2) Tie to one end of the wire to the wire frame. (3)
Gently rinse the soil from ivy roots with room temp water (no need
to remove all of it ... keep plants in a plastic bag so roots don't
dry out).
(4)
Scoop up some of the spagnum moss and squeeze out excess water and
wrap
only the roots with the spagnum moss.
(5)
Lay it on the frame and wrap the frame around with wire to hold in
plants.
(6)
Repeat steps 4, 5 and 6 until the whole frame is covered.
(7)
Tie the final end to the frame to hold everything together.
The
finished look will be that the wire covering the roots bunches will
be covered by the leaves from the next bunch. The leaves conceals the
frame and roots.
